The Grand Old Tea Party is a radically morphed version of a political Party that has been broke for decades.

First and foremost the GOP has been a whites only party.

Second the GOP has been dominated by white males aka chauvinists.

Third it represents "for profit" corporations and corporate managers and majority stock holders.

At first one is prone to say what's wrong with making a profit?

My knee jerk answer is the following analogy combined with a question.

Is it wrong for an overweight white guy to eat a hamburger along side a starving child?

Does distance between these two human beings make a difference?

We live on a planet where solutions to all of our problems already exist. However the unspoken obstacle to implementing change is overpopulation.

Nobody is saying it or wants to admit it ..., but the worlds nations have decided tolet a large segment of human populations die prematurely.

The technique used is calculated neglect and it takes many recognizable forms.

Katrina for example was the result of decisions made to allow population growth in an area that was inevitably going to be struck by disaster without building necessary safeguards and infrastructure to minimize loss of life.

In fact Katrina will be dwarfed by much more disastrous and extreme weather events that will grow in size and frequency as climate change effects the planets weather systems.

Sandy was mere child's play compared to what will someday occur to effect two thirds of the worlds population living along coast lines.

It is for this and other reasons that the type of thinking represented by the GOP has got to go.

It is time for science and sense to take hold. Science Sense.
