Democratic Socialism - my flavor is vanilla.

Socialism for me is not social at all. It is merely the collective effort of human beings to do right by one another as a whole species.

It is simply an awareness that we humans are a group, a tribe, a species and that as such we have some unspoken instinctual allegiance to one another ... I call it an instinctual human bond.

WE all instinctively know what we should do individually and as a group - but we don't.

We humans make up excuses instead ... governments and constitutions and religions that tell us all we are entitled to be whatever we want to be .... fantasy.

In reality we are one tribe of mammals living on a planet called earth.

Like a pack of wolves we have characteristics and traits and habits and capabilities. Superior to other forms of life in several aspects.

Society is another word that attempts to describe what we humans are from a group standpoint ...  but it is a word that defines our stratification and separation as individuals and not our singularity as a species.

Very few humans are part of "high society" .... that is why societies were create by some humans to separate humans. Not physically but to symbolically tag and label them. Some common tags are young, old, man, women, boy, girl. Others might be slave, owner, worker and farmer.

I use and substitute the tag human as often as I can remember that we are all humans first and foremost.

That is an important component of the concept of soocialism as I see it.

The oneness of our species both physically and mentally.

The Marx brand of socialism was extremely simple .. although many have morphed socialism into something that barely resembles what Marx wrote about. It was driven by one simple fact. Life sustaining resources are not infinite for the human species.

Socialism as I see it is an awareness of who we ALL are .... and of the fact that we must work as a unitary group to sustain ourselves.

WE are one singular planet sustaining 7 billion humans (a species of mammal) and an infinitely larger number of other forms of life. WE have no exit strategy.

In number we humans are a microscopic portion of all life on earth and yet we wield the power to destroy all life.

Consumption is a weapon of mass destruction.

WE humans have superceded what we need and in most humans their mind driven desires and wants are out of control.

It is both a physical and mental a feeding frenzy and like starved piranhas we are consuming OUR planet and ultimately will consume one another as well!

The key to the future success of our species is conservation accompanied by replenishment and finally embellishment.

The cure is simple.

Consumption must equal replenishment.
