AT the RNC the nation was given a rare opportunity to observe the overlying tactic that has been employed most heavily if not exclusively by the newly minted tea-publican party.
"Ultra lying" is what I term it ..... and it helps that much of the dissemination of lies using mass media is financed by the Uber-rich.
Both Republicans and Democrats who are Americans first and foremost are aghast at what is going on .... political campaigns have taken on the attributes of a reality television show rather than an intelligent and thoughtful discussion about the direction OUR Nation should take.
The inevitably of two political parties combating one another every four years for the Presidency has eclipsed the one over-riding question we all must ask ourselves ... WHY? and WHAT FOR?
In this short article I must provide for myself if for no one else a rational for the two party system other than to take opposing sides.
I will agree that their are many ways to skin a cat. Yet when two adversaries are preordained to debate and their goals should be the same .... what is the purpose?!
This is one of many flaws in the structure of American governance.
It would be best to have one field of candidates running on solutions rather than on personal attacks.
Both sides are forced by the other to use the money of special interest to finance the size of their megaphones.
Americans have been asleep at the wheel for decades as well. In truth they have been fed sleeping pills by the very politicians elected to represent them.
In our society today we pay for a lawn service and don't mow our lawn. We often pay for private schools and don't teach our children and we attend college yet have no goals.
OUR minds are growing and are in fact over-stimulated - while our bodies tend to remain on the couch waiting to be told what to buy, think, drink, wear and do. We have intellectual hunger being fed more and more by the options afforded by the Internet and digital media.
Politics has become yet another game we play in a game obsessed nation.
Yet the steps needed to tone down the hyper-activity and gain focus are simple.
Implement a doctrine of fairness and respect in all that we do ... including most of all a respect for ourselves as human beings and an understanding that we are part of nature ... not rulers of nature.
This brings me both to the rational I seek and another question we must all ask ourselves.
If as we all should .. we can agree on what our goals are as a nation; .... shouldn't an election format be about the implementation mechanics? and not on personal differences.
We are now forced to choose sides when in fact we have common goals.
Education or War or Nature. OUR goals as Americans are the same. The best education system on earth and NO wars and the preservation of Nature.
If a third party is the answer than I have to ask what are the other two parties for?
The election platform should be based on the same solutions and the issues confined to methods of implementation.
Only then can we unify as a nation with one purpose and achieve all OUR goals for every single human in America and on earth as well.
