How much of what we hear and see in the news about solutions is just lip service?

I tend to think 100% if based on the lack of results alone!

In fact it appears to me that year after year and decade after decade America is going backwards rather than forward.

Right now one political party wants us to back up over 50 years and revisit such subjects as women's rights and religious freedom and voters rights and even democracy itself.

It seems a trend of thought coming from the right  - is that although they selectively reference the constitution when it comes to the right to lie or bear arms  ...  very little is said about freedom and justice for all  - instead they say we are NOT a democracy bu a republic ONLY to the exclusion of democracy.

This is insane folks yet I've actually gotten in arguments with newsviners and still will over the statement that we are not a democracy.

How and when did Americans get this idea into their heads ... how long has the propaganda been working on American minds?

For decades!

The State of Texas is the source for most school textbooks in the nation  ... and radicalized political elements within the state influence what gets put into text books. Think about that and think about the political make-up of Texas. Money and power!

Religious fundamentalism is being used as a means to confuse and control segments of the population.

In Harvard they teach you many things  - Chunking is one of them. Chunking takes many forms - but it is based on the idea that when you chop something up into smaller parts  - like a problem  ... you can more effectively manage each part ultimately reaching a goal.

The GOTP has been chunking Americans for decades, dividing us into manageable parts which can then be manipulated.

You can't make this up folks  - it's true!

Lip service is just one of many tools in the toolbox of deceit used by those in power when they wish to control all of us.

How often do you hear yourself saying  - he or she didn't do what they said? - or what was said wasn't even true!

One lie being used in politics right now is that "both sides are wrong" .

This is extremely dangerous because one side, say the GOTP for example, may be way, way wrong ... yet is instantly given undeserved parity with the other side.

Many, many well meaning individuals parrot one another and we have a chorus of vote for Jill Stein or both parties suck etc etc etc ...

Yet the record and the truth belie that fact.

The corporate owned and sponsored media is not left of center .... think about that carefully. You are being presented with 50% 50% argument s 7x24 - when it is more like 66% 34% ... The benefactor is the party of 34%  - whose most powerful and financially influential members own the media. Corporations.

But what is the difference between well intentioned lip service and lies? Determination, resolve and effort.

These are three of many attributes OUR President has plus truth to power and intelligence.

The worst OUR Presidents detractors can say is that he didn't accomplish everything he wanted too, pointing to Guantanamo first and foremost.

Yet we all should know why Guantanamo wasn't closed and why the stimulus was diluted albeit still effective, and why the nations credit rating dropped and why nothing is getting done in congress.

From whence does the lip service come? Someone who falls short of his many goals for everyone in America, yet has many accomplishments?

Or someone who has no goals nor accomplishments and whose ONLY platform is to defeat his opponent.
