You might think that those with more than enough to eat would want to err on the side of safety when it comes to feeding humans.

Apparently not in America and the party that most closely aligns itself with theocracy leads the way in enacting policies that will cut off millions of households from receiving food benefit assistance.

Last I heard that is approximately 47 million votes!

Unless you live under a rock one in seven here on Newsvine depend on food stamps as a buffer to poor economic times.

Although a large number of disadvantaged can't afford a computer or an Internet connection. 

Apparently the republicans forgot we had near close to a depression three short years ago!

I guess now that the stock market is doing well  - they are okay with balancing budgets on the backs of those with the least voting power.

They are even doubling down on suppressing votes across the nation.

I guess they want to give substance to the lies in their own rhetoric that OUR President should have snapped his fingers and solved the problems he inherited.

Perhaps they could have pitched in to help him some more instead of attacking the middle class including unemployment benefits and planned parenthood.

All I can say is that anyone who complains about food stamps is a spiteful selfish bastard.
