There should be little doubt in anyones mind who is reading this that their thoughts are heavily if not totally influenced by the MEDIA.

The MEDIA actually amplifies what normally influences us  - dating back to before television and radio and such even existed.

We build our belief system upon what our senses collect and store in our brains. Plato's cave is an excellent metaphor for this.

Today the MEDIA is the cave within which all of humanity lives or will be forced to live. Some humans in primitive areas have yet to fall under the influence of the MEDIA.

Perception over reality is magnified ten billion fold thru the prism of the MEDIA. Events are broadcast worldwide in a matter of seconds and the manner in which they are presented is controlled by an alarmingly small group of humans.

Those who own, sponsor and manage the media.

Capitalism has already trained us all to accept the role of worker or laborer or subordinate. Capitalists control the faucets of supply and demand which is used to control humans.

Humans provide two essential resources that enable capitalists to extract value from nature. Physical and intellectual assets.

A combination of the knowledge and the ability to communicate and assemble and act on behalf of those who are in a controlling position.

Think the american congress as an example, as well as the white house, potus and scotus.

Presently this POTUS is at odds with the congress and the SCOTUS.

President Obama does not play according to the rules of the establishment. John Boehner for example is quite upset about this, but he is not alone. Most of those in the drivers seat of capitalism are upset with the prospect of no longer calling the punches for the masses.

While all politicians are vulnerable to the power of money and influence and self-preservation and selfishness - the Republican party is heavily under the influence of the corporate establishment. Corporations are organizational manifestations of capitalism that have the power to consume entire nations and have!

That process has been underway for at least the past century in America.

The MEDIA is the single most powerful tool to control the thoughts of the majority of the populace at large.

The goals of capitalism are met if the general populace is divided evenly causing stagnation. For this reason the MEDIA is the primary tool of capitalism for dividing human beings into opposing groups.

The void that is created by division is filled by those in power. Karl Rove for example is a mastermind of division - and his chief targets are age, gender, income, race, location and dozens of other related subdivisions of american opinion.

It is quite simple for a team of well trained behavioral analysts to plot out a MEDIA campaign to control minds  - but who among us would acknowledge they are being manipulated? OUR human ego does not allow each of us to comprehend that we are merely living robots who are responding predictably to the cattle prods of those who manipulate us. The MEDIA is the interface to our minds.

Thus while our planet is being destroyed for the profit of a few, we humans are being influenced by the MEDIA to question science and in the face of all common sense and logic to question climate change even while it is impacting our lives at an alarming pace.

Where does this mind control stop? How do we stop it?

Education or enlightenment is essential to create an awareness of truth versus perception.

One way to convince yourself you are being controlled is to step back and review what is happening around you.

If you are doing well - ask yourself why? and what does well mean?

If you are doing okay - ask the same questions.

And if you are doing poorly  - the chances are you are not self-aware but are merely struggling to survive.

This is what the lack of education creates. A large passive population of human beings struggling to live.

Those who most need to vote to change their fortunes are least likely to vote due to being disadvantaged, under-educated, discouraged and disillusioned.

Yet the current hierarchal system of economics has a role for the disadvantaged to fill.

Those who control and manipulate their fellow human beings need the physical and intellectual assets of the masses.

Here is a list of awakeners I have assembled:

• water and air pollution caused by fossil fuels, manufacturing, overpopulation
• income inequality versus the concept of luxury and human inequality
• natural resource distribution versus supply and demand
• the freedom to live versus free markets, waste, consumption, free trade and the freedom to bear arms and to lie
• nature versus human want
• reality versus the MEDIA, religious beliefs and conventional wisdom
• truth versus perception (the price of a stock versus its intrinsic value)

This list is not exhaustive.

The only hope for the salvation of the masses is unification and leadership.

The pyramid of influence that controls our lives has been breached by social media but the powers in control are rapidly filling that void.

Laws are being passed to bring the internet under the further control of the Corpocracy.

Thought control and the MEDIA is a subject that should be scrutinized and elaborated upon and I encourage my fellow writers to do so ....
