With over two thirds of OUR nation liking President Obama why is this coming Presidential election going to be close?

Because the media says so  ... and what is more significant is the media has the ability to influence outcomes.

One of the most destructive and misleading tools of the media is the 50% - 50% fairness principal - whereby they will give an issue that deserves only 10% exposure  - 50% exposure.

But given freedom of speech is so important in our society what is wrong with that?

I have been told countless times that OUR first amendment rights permit verbal abuse including lies.

But whose rights are we talking about? The rights of each of us as Americans as individuals or the rights of the powerful corporate person-hood that controls what we see, hear and even think.

The media is our big brother. There is no doubt we get a 50% - 50% view of 80% - 20% arguments.

How else can the two party political system survive when one party represents the 1% yet gets 50% of the votes
