“Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.”
How is that working out for humanity Rick?
Just how are we humans replenishing the earth? We've certainly got the multiply and dominion part down pat, but someones forgotten to put out the garbage and it's starting to smell of half eaten fish.!
OUR President is reminding us that we have to replenish - since we cannot live without that which we are wasting and consuming at an ever increasing rate. Many humans agree with OUR President or perhaps more accurately he agrees with those of us who have had it with the human pigs who are over-running earth.
Rick Santorum is just another one of those pigs - speaking in pig latin to his followers - preaching human kinds dominance over that which created us.
Oh but wait - nature didn't create us - God did. Really? And nature depends on we humans as opposed to we humans depending on nature?
Another chicken egg fairy tale.
OR perhaps the truth is that a small group of humans who finance the campaigns of the likes of Santorum, are planning to dispose of the rest of us?
Perhaps religion has been used as a distraction and as a tool for tyrants and dictators and plutocrats who would feign worshipping gods when in fact they only worship themselves. Do as I say but not as I do ...
Religious freedom is a two way street - you are free to believe want you want - but not to impose your beliefs on me.
Why does all of society subsidize religion in the first place? Religion is anti-science fiction based on mythology.
Yet it is still embedded in our laws and society in a way that allows it to continue to be used to manipulate the disadvantaged rather than help them.
Prayers have also been offered in place of solutions in the poorest nations. Prayers cost nothing.
Yet even that isn't so - since many religions require a tithe which is a religious tax.
And while religions can point to many good things that they institute - they have failed to effect a cure and are merely treating the disease in a somewhat self-serving manner.
We need much less religion and prayers and a lot more real solutions.
There is a lot of pomp and circumstance associated with the Pope and the catholic Church ... and much less so cures as opposed to need which is what keeps the Church relevant.
Without need there eventually is no place for religion. None. Nada. An incentive for maintaining the status quo. Pray and be damned anyway.
