While I know this President is getting pissed on by the GOP, you have to wonder if Rick Perry could actually become President and raise a glass to toast his victory.
"Let them eat cake" could actually be replaced with "Let them drink piss".
The Texas solution for their drought is recycling bodily fluids ... and who said the GOP was against conservation!!!!
I am biased of course so anything I write is questionable .... as it should be ....
Therefore I could be wrong but (I think) the GOP is overloaded with a bunch of unqualified individuals who actually think they are qualified to run our nation.
After President Obama ... no matter what you think of his ideas for moving this nation forward ... there is no comparison on an intellectual level.
Deep down in side everyone knows that he stands head and shoulders over the mud slingers who represent the GOP's Presidential hopefuls .... perhaps Gingrich is the only one among them with any semblance of leadership ability.
The rest are a bunch of Presidential wannabes ... with no ideas ... but plenty of attack material in their arsenal ...
Perry doesn't frighten me ..... the religious right are not composed of zombies who march to the tune of the pied pipers who control the messages ... anyone who is truly religious knows the difference between what is right or wrong as opposed to "religious cosmetics".
What do I mean by "religious cosmetics" ? ... It is when you care more about a sperm cell and an egg and an unborn fetus ... than you do a baby in Somalia.
I can't believe that any significant number of humans could give those two situations any parity and call themselves religious or christian.
Anyway ... this is what Perry is bring to the table ... the growing efforts of the GOP to make america a theocracy. The strategy is that there are enough on the religious right to mobilize as a political force ...
In the plutocracy we have now ... where a plurality of voters can elect and control the majority who don't all vote ... it is unbelievably feasible if not probable.
The whole premise of republicanism aka plutocracy is based on suppressing the vote of the majority and convincing a plurality to elect a minority of individuals who have pledged allegiance not to the american flag but to themselves and their bank accounts.
Plutocracy is rule by the wealthy, or power provided by wealth. The term plurality, used in the context of voting, refers to the largest number of votes to be received by any candidate. It is contrasted with a majority which is never the case in our american democracy because most americans do not exercise their democratic right to vote!
Thus we have those in the GOP dictating to most of us .. while smugly walking around and saying we are NOT a democracy but a republic.
We can be a republic and be undemocratic ... which is the case in america today ... simply because we are all not represented in Washington.
You can bet your house (if it hasn't been foreclosed yet!) that many who are complaining about the GOP today ... didn't vote and don't vote!!!!
